Text Submission Event: Poetry!
So I've been thinking, I have entirely too many items in my inventory and some of them are hard to sell for obscenely high prices. Some of them are just hard to sell.
This leads to the inevitable conclusion of "I should give them away for no good reason", but I don't exactly like to send out items to people I don't even know as charity, and some people don't appreciate it either. This means, of course, I have to make interested people to at least put forth effort attempting to get these items.
With the World Championship having just started, having even more combat oriented Torinaments would be redundant, so, as everyone knows, several great warriors throughout history have taken up poetry. This is your chance.
The rules:
1. Stick to the topic.
2. No profanity.
3. One entry per person. If you submit more than one entry, only the last entry will be judged.
4. One entry per person, people using alts to submit multiple entries will be banned.
5. In the event of a scoring tie, the prize will go to the person with lowest maximum qi on all of their alts.
6. Players with less than 21 qi are not eligible to receive prizes.
7. Entries with total scores of 7 or less are not eligible to win, even if they have the highest score.
8. The contest ends when the date is 8/21 in GMT+0 land. Entries after that point will not be accepted.
9. Do not plagiarize, even from the public domain.
The scoring:
There will be 3 judges: Tim, hanz0, and I (suomynona).
For each entry, the judge will provide a subjective score in the form of an integer from 1 to 10, inclusive. Each score will then be added, and the total is the score of the entry.
Judges are encouraged to consider originality, evocativeness, and use of metaphor. They are encouraged to judge spelling harshly.
The judges have also kindly informed me that any attempts at rapping will be given 1s, and I can't change their mind on that. Sorry to those with mad skills.
The prizes:
Three packs:Magnetite, Ivory, and Helios.
1st place gets 1st pick, 2nd place gets 2nd pick, and 3rd place gets whatever's left over. A pack contains every item of the color in its name, thus a Magnetite pack would include all 16 Magnetite items available in the ToriShop. A pack has no qi restriction, and once unpacked you can use any items it contained without qi restriction as well.

The huskies from decades' past,
would always rather die fighting for it;
Then be exiled from well taken traces.
Towing the sleds thousands of miles,
with sore muscles and broken bones.
Their it can be valor, pride, survival.
Just as the Alaskan huskies, these

for whatever their it is.

This took me a while to write, so here goes.
Something worth fighting for.
The world championship. A place where all competitors come towards.
Whether or not they are successful in becoming champions lies within the future.
They may not have what it takes to finish, but everyone has the ability to begin.
There will be a myriad of contenders awaiting behind the arena doors.
Denizens of hope. Those who compete to protect the light and all that's good.
What will become of them when the tide turns, I wonder?
Agents of evil. They gather in darkness. Plotting their dastardly deeds.
They lie in wait for opportunity to come, grasping any chance in sight.
Soldiers of neutrality. People who lie betwixt and between good and evil.
Their minds choose their own paths to glory, master-less and free.
Mysterious figures. Shadowy apparitions who come and go as they please.
Despite the weakness of their wills or minds, they hold an inner strength hidden to all.
Members that fight are like exotic colors. From indigo to aquamarine, Magenta to goldenrod.
Each color fitted into a story along with words. Each story is unique and creative on its own.
Yet when intertwined with others, it becomes a part of what makes others.
Many stories will end this day. Others may just as easily be created. That is certain.
Everyone prepares for the journey ahead, each with their own agenda.
Fueled by hatred for others, full of courage from friends, or willingness of thy own glory.
They come hither for one chance at the champion title. One shot at the goal of fame.
The clock is ticking away at the few precious moments left to train.
The impatience is almost unbearable. It grows, consuming the players entirely.
The fighters don't give in, for they are the pillars that hold up the battlefield.
Even pillars can crumble given enough pressure though. Others might just flee altogether.
In the end, however, those undeterred will show themselves in the midst of battle.
For only they can truly have something physical, mental, or emotional worth fighting for.
Now go, fight on, and become champions in this never-ending spiral of battle!
