The reason why i make art and post it on the forum is because i always strive to improve, and feedback helps me get better. i love reading what others think of my work, wether the reaction is good or bad. I also want to show others what i can do and almost have like a timeline of my artwork from my older works to my current art.
-And motivation as to why you make art here.
I enjoy making art, I want to improve my techniques, and one day be good as a lot of you, and maybe one day I can help someone.
(Okay..Well...For one thing, yeah, the pose isn't the best, the arms are way too back and the elbows look like they're bending in an unnatural position. The texture is pretty nice, it actually gives that bump feeling, but the problem is that you used it on the joints too, and that'll just...Look bad, maybe try changing the projection of the material on the joints, see what you can get. Also, I notice that it's missing in some parts, maybe you wanted it that way? Or something but it looks really unfinished. I see that you're pretty new with C4D, am I right? Yeah, if so, then you will have to learn that attention to detail is what makes the picture a good one, I might be saying some nonsense but this is my opinion.
Next up, the light, it seems that you have used a default light with the default render settings maybe. For the beginning, it's pretty normal, but you'll have to do some efforts if you want the lighting to be done well (Global illumination, softboxes, some ambient light).
Adding reflection on the tori, or just the joints could be some nice addition.
The background looks just like...background, if you want to have some shadows on the background to make the feel of tori actually being there, you'll have to watch some tutorials ("Cinema 4d - Basic compositing" I think is the name of the tutorial), that's actually how I learned to use C4D, through various tutorials. I also learned to fix some issues while I was doing these tests and all.)

Well, I like doing art, it's something enjoyable, but unfortunately it takes pretty much time to do. I also do these things I do for friends, it's a quality I like to share with people. I also do art so I learn things.

I love the hands. The arms and fore arms are
cool. I agree, the lines would look better if they
glowed. I would rework the head and the legs.
The bright glowing lines will improve the head.
the legs offer more space, so I would experiment
with a slightly more intricate line pattern there.
Not too much, just enough to make it interesting.
All in all, it's a nice set. Your headed in the right
direction. 7.5/10. Can easily go up to 8.5-9/10.
Keep up the good work, and take your time!

When I was first introduced to Toribash, I loved it immediately.
When I found out it was possible to create textures for our toris, I was very excited, because I have been involved with graphics for a while now. I enjoy art, and I have enjoyed making textures for Toribash ever since. I love all the challenges and possibilities this game offers us artists. So, I explored the transparency possibilities, and also the joint textures. Getting feedback and building a new fan base is also very exciting. I intend to continue making sets, and continue improving. I will continue to post my new sets in the Art board where I receive criticism, and advice, which all helps us get better at what we do.
This is my application for the Art Graduation Achievement.
Thank you for considering,
sincerely,

"I found the song to be annoying, I think it is too repetitive, and I think I have heard it in another edit. You have really good fps, and the cc was good looking.
the first hit wasn't too powerful, i expected it directly at the drop, but it went a bit after. this didn't really have a negative effect on the video for me, i still liked it. the only thing that i didn't like was how slow this was, a 13 second replay was sped up to 20 seconds, and most replays followed suit. i expected it to speed up a bit at the drop, but it unfortunately didn't. you should dl people before you make each video, hours shouldn't be wearing that set. Nice shader choice as well."

The reason i like to make art for toribash is because when you make a set, the possibilities are endless. there are so many unique heads, sets, edits, paintings, drawings, Etc. that are posted on the art thread day to day, for others to look at and admire, and i wanted to be a part of that. i wanted people to see my sets, heads, edits etc. and say "wow, thats really nice"
The first time I posted a set on the forums, it got good feedback, which inspired me to make more to show others. When I wanted to try something else, I learned it faster because of the people's help on the art forum. Every time I post something and it gets good feedback, I feel good inside, like it was a success. I prefer when somebody tells me what I can do to improve rather that have them say "that is nice I really liked it". Although those make me feel happy over what I have done, it isn't helping me improve. The artwork I make takes time, and it feels great to have somebody appreciate what you worked hard on.
