Texture Creating Software
Anyone know a good software to use when creating textures? I know about photoshop and gimp, but specifically what version of photoshop or gimp would some of you prefer to use?

Actually i use paint.net(its a free program) because its easier to use channels and layers,but i used gimp and PS(Photoshop) before

I wold recommend using last version of gimp,i used before and its free.
has alot of brushes,effect and options to use.

Depending on the type of texture, and based on how you prefer to create them. When making more primitive and geometric style of textures, I would recommend paint.net... For more of an artist, brush, hand drawn feel, I would suggest GIMP... Photoshop is far too complicated for what Toribash is concerned. But, some find its uses... I would suggest Paint.net to start off with, learn the basic tools and plugins.
