Again, not saying it is right, but if people cant adapt than there is nothing that can really be done to help them.
Now I understand that ethnocide happens within all the people in the USA, which is a country constantly seeking for an identity, but don't forget that many of the original owners of the land don't want to watch it lethargically as the invasive force of the USA - that is not much older than 300 years - takes over their land and destroy what's left of the sacred places such as burial sites. You think its fair for them to concede and give up? What would you do in that regard if you were in their position?
They should continue to fight (ideologically and diplomatically I mean, I'm against violence as it doesn't solve anything other than causing even more pain) and demand respect. They can't just shut up and act like if everything is cool.

Ideally, it would happen, but our world is not an ideal place.
That would defeat the purpose of having an identity/legacy and the need to defend it.
Its sad that one would need to give up their identity and legacy because of an external influence that took over their land, culture and creeds.
Specially under today's morals and standards... And ironically USA acts if they're all about morals, standards and principles, democracy, liberty/freedom, and all those words that seem to be devoid of their actual meaning.
