They're a different clan, just with the same name. VX liked the name [Epic], so with the permission of the leader of the old clan, he made a new clan with the same name. Not necromancy.

Obviously, he isn't resurrecting the old clan with the same name, he's making a new clan with the same name.
I would wager he has permission from the old leader.
