You can see how the crap head's colors flicker, while the high quality head's don't

look at the border, it is pixelated and therefore not highquality.
to make the border smooth you need to make the background not transparent, just go with the forumbackgroundcolor.
one might aswell use an actual good program like lightwave to make high quality spinnies.
that would take little more effort though, so gimp is a good solution for a newbie.
