[REL][WIP]Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong


So, this is basically the first level of donkey kong. The lives system works a bit differently, but I wanted this to be easier. I may add more levels later, or I may not.

How To Win:
Get up to the top platform.

How To Lose:
Get hit by 3 barrels, or fall off the side.

Controls:
Move Left: Left Arrow
Move Right: Right Arrow
Climb Ladder: Up Arrow
Descend Ladder: Down Arrow
Jump: Either Shift, or Numpad 0(note, jump is on key up, not key down)

Important Note: This script only works when shaders are off. I have no idea why, but when shaders are on, the sides of the ladders, the barrels, and the oil drum are not rendered.

If you have any problems, please describe them in great detail so that I can fix them. Also, post whatever suggestions you have. Thank you.


To Do List:
  • Add in princess peach and donkey kong.
  • Make the other two levels and a way to loop them like in real donkey kong.

Fixes Finished:
  • Lopsided hitbox on barrels

Nice work, but why would you make jump on key up as opposed to down like most other games? :|

Because keydown was not registering correctly.

Simply awesome.

Two things I found, what blam said, and It often has to be right on to register a hit, maybe make the area that it hits a little larger
