My opinion on destroyable objects is that it would be different for a game like Toribash, not so sure how it'd work right in a game like this. Perhaps you could just be able to stack blocks and shapes and hide the lines so it looks like a solid object.

That's already somewhat possible, it just uses a lot of objects
