Text Submission Event: Poetry!
So I've been thinking, I have entirely too many items in my inventory and some of them are hard to sell for obscenely high prices. Some of them are just hard to sell.
This leads to the inevitable conclusion of "I should give them away for no good reason", but I don't exactly like to send out items to people I don't even know as charity, and some people don't appreciate it either. This means, of course, I have to make interested people to at least put forth effort attempting to get these items.
With the World Championship having just started, having even more combat oriented Torinaments would be redundant, so, as everyone knows, several great warriors throughout history have taken up poetry. This is your chance.
The rules:
1. Stick to the topic.
2. No profanity.
3. One entry per person. If you submit more than one entry, only the last entry will be judged.
4. One entry per person, people using alts to submit multiple entries will be banned.
5. In the event of a scoring tie, the prize will go to the person with lowest maximum qi on all of their alts.
6. Players with less than 21 qi are not eligible to receive prizes.
7. Entries with total scores of 7 or less are not eligible to win, even if they have the highest score.
8. The contest ends when the date is 8/21 in GMT+0 land. Entries after that point will not be accepted.
9. Do not plagiarize, even from the public domain.
The scoring:
There will be 3 judges: Tim, hanz0, and I (suomynona).
For each entry, the judge will provide a subjective score in the form of an integer from 1 to 10, inclusive. Each score will then be added, and the total is the score of the entry.
Judges are encouraged to consider originality, evocativeness, and use of metaphor. They are encouraged to judge spelling harshly.
The judges have also kindly informed me that any attempts at rapping will be given 1s, and I can't change their mind on that. Sorry to those with mad skills.
The prizes:
Three packs:Magnetite, Ivory, and Helios.
1st place gets 1st pick, 2nd place gets 2nd pick, and 3rd place gets whatever's left over. A pack contains every item of the color in its name, thus a Magnetite pack would include all 16 Magnetite items available in the ToriShop. A pack has no qi restriction, and once unpacked you can use any items it contained without qi restriction as well.

Fight for fame.
The best of the best are competing for fame.
But some people were pretty lame.
They came rock solid but left in shame.
This is not an easy game.
The fighters fall as leaves do off a tree.
Some stay strong and live life free.
The strongest are the ones who survive.
The families of others wish they had the power to revive.
It is not easy, it is tough.
The tournament can be pretty rough.
The opponents are like animals fighting for prey.
They're fighting like maniacs during the day.
They want to make their families proud.
But some just stick with the crowd.
They copy every move and defend it well.
The tournament begins with the ring of a bell.
They are vicious and brave.
They deserve better than just a grave.
Judging:
suomynona: 4

Tim: 5
(Not really bad, but the rhyme scheme could've been more consistent.)
Total: 14.

Submission period is over, judging will (insert: probably) take place some time within the next 48 hours. Thank you for your submissions.

Judging will probably happen around 23:00 GMT+0 Aug 22nd, or so, maybe a bit earlier.

Never trust a schedule. Judging still has to be done some time. No, I haven't forgotten.

So, judging has been done, scores have been thrown up there. If you have any concerns about the score, and think you really should've gotten higher or lower, well too bad, we won't lower your score for you.
elvis currently comes in 1st place with a total of 19.
bbush in 2nd with 18.
Butler153 in 3rd with 14.

Also, good job to everyone who got above a 7. To the one person that didn't, perhaps you should reconsider poetry as a life choice.
