I started playing since 2008 and the major updates were adding better graphics and 3D items.
Clan boards become obsolete because you can communicate via discord [ voice chat in-game, quick response, etc ]
I do enjoy the art community but it seems that a few artist remain and orgs are pretty much dead

you're not wrong :T
that's why I think giving more possibilities to the community create new content by themselves is a smart move. All that kept us interested until is pretty much based on what the own players have made until now
