The OP just reminded me of that one Degrassi: The Next Generation episode where Emma almost gets raped by some perv who she had an online relationship with. Also that other episode of the same series where Darcy almost gets fingerfucked by some fatass.

Man, that show was good back in the day, now it's just like watching catholic porn.

But uhh... anyway... the first few sentences of that were relevant to the topic, sooo... yeah...
the inner machinations of my mind are an enigma
So, me comming back in this conversation...

They are difficult, sex is wanted, all of that good stuff, I'm just saying if you're only in a relationship for sex, that's dumb. You should be with someone if you care about them and want to be with them no matter what. Now, with long distance, sometimes it wouldn't work out so well, like someone from the USA dates someone in the UK. That is a little dumb on their parts, only if they can actually have some way of meeting up in the future. Also, with someone who lives one state away for example, they have a better chance at meeting just because it's simpler and the human mind normally not always, but normally wants to take the easy way. So, without anyone arguing with that...... I'd say that the trust is a huge issue, you have to commit to the person and being far away, there is no way to know where they are and what they are doing, not even in a relationship where you are there... You just have to be willing to commit and be able to trust the other person, without that, you will constantly be thinking about where they are and what they are doing, they could be cheating, getting ready to cheat, hitting on another male/female. All of that goes through your mind if you can't atleast see them. Emotions are easy to be faked, so, talking or video calling won't always work, not even seeing them eye to eye. I'm a great liar, I could look you in the eye and be serious and still be lieing to you. Now, when you are with someone it also can't be just one way, both have to commit. I have no problem dating others from long distance. I do however have a problem with them thinking they can do whatever and sit there and lie to me. Humans make mistakes and sometimes cheating on your partner could be a mistake, but are you willing to let them do that with the only way to tell them you are upset and really show them is to type or call and then not even be able to do much?

It takes alot for people to date long distance or even if it's not long distance, so, if I had a say, I'd do it both ways, but, all the doubts are there whether or not it is long distance or not.

But if it works for both people what's the problem?
But in all reality... I think I might be insane...
