Engineer is really only good for pve, it requires a ridiculous amount of switching between flame kit and regular rifle to be effective in pvp.
Or you can be like me and be an elixir/condition damage tank engi in pvp and troll the living shit out of thieves that dive on to you thinking its an easy kill.

bes engi is grenade, with the trade that gives you a 50% on a crit to do vulnerability and the trade that let u throw 3 grenades, then get a crit chance of 40-50% and u can easily stack 25 vulnerability. get a ele who stacks might, or 2 and pow, every boss will fall fast... also stack state-dmg and u will fuck everyone... i tested alot around. dont like the flamethrower or the bombkit... grenades are the best way to play him. PvP and PvE (already did AC in story and explo mode so.)
