[Budget of $1300] what laptop should I buy?
I'm looking for a gaming laptop. Preferably ASUS ROG, but I'm open to anything as long as it's reliable. I want something that is fast, excellent graphics, and the whole shebang. (Basically just looking for the best for my buck.) So far I've looked at:

and

Thanks!

if you really want a laptop go with something like the MSI Apache (good sale)

if you're pretty loose on format:

None of these.

this is what you're looking for. It's the best gaming laptop for 1200$. (The GTX 970M model)

Note that it has the performance of a 700-750$ Desktop, you're going to waste much money just because it is portable. If you really rely on that I recommand going for a 1000$ Desktop and a 200$ Laptop. You get a much better gaming experience that way.

What mongius said. Gaming laptops are stupidly pointless, and overpriced to shit. A portable laptop with only 1TB of space and 16GB of ram, and a Vram of 2 GB being 1200 dollars is really steep, when I can build a desktop better than that for less than that price. Why even go for a portable gaming device?

Well Razer just came out with their new Stealth Ultrabook which is like a laptop - desktop hybrid.

It is a Macbook in Black/Green with an external GPU dock, which still requires you to buy a seperate GPU. Nope.

It doesn't come with the Razer Core? And also yes we know you want a "gaming laptop" but can you please state what you'll be using this computer for so that we can better assist you. Also if you want bang for buck in a computer then a desktop has more bang.

They are "unsure yet" if they bundle the Core with the Laptop itself (which means they will sell it seperately for about 100$) and also this
We wondered about the support for graphics cards, and Razer clarified (sort of) that the Core needs compatible graphics drivers. They told us that they’re working with Nvidia and AMD on the issue.

.
It is a major throwback in performance, even when using a dedicated GPU (funfact : there are Laptops with integrated full size desktop 980's and desktop i7's for half a year already available, like the Sager NP987OU2 G). I can't see a single reason right now why this thing should offer something you can't have cheaper, sstronger and easier to handle.

In the and it is a MacBook Air in black/green with a PCIe dongle which isnt even working properly yet. Stay away from this thing.

^ This is definitely the one to go with. You can't find better graphics card than GTX 970M lower than 1300$ But if you wanna save money, example for games, then get the GTX 960M model(performance difference isn't really that big. You will sacrifice probably about 10-20 fps in games.

Laptops aren't the best gaming platforms just to let you know. You could easily get much more powerful gaming platform if you'd go with desktop pc. With that price you could get a desktop pc that handles every single game without no problem at high settings(good fps rates)

if you travel alot/don't like desktop pcs, i'll understand. Then you should go with the laptop above.
