When I got my septum pierced it just made me sneeze. I am planning on getting a tat soon, doubt it will happen (no monies) but if I do I will post a pic.

I'm a lot more sedate than the missus with regard to tattoos & piercings.

I've only got 2 tattoos - the 1st was an abortion (yes that's the best description) on my thigh, the tattooist stopped mid way for a "spliff break" so I decided to leave with half a mess rather than a full one.

The 2nd is my son's name on my arm, and sometime I'm gonna get my daughter's somewhere.

As for piercings, I've got my nose (nostril) & 4 ear - 2 lobe, 1 mid cartilage & one whacked through the top cartilage.

piercings Ive got Lip, Tongue, Eyebrow, and 5 ear piercings.

So here is my right arm, some years ago when I just had the tatoo done.
To come back to pain's subject, tatoo is equivalent to a sunburn.
Though, it took 45 minutes to be done, 45 minutes while I was contracted whereas I was thinking myself to be relax ^^
So it was a little painful and the main thing is that I had no blood left in my minus finger (you know, the little one that goes into the ear ^^) because I had a big grasp on the chair's arms ^^
My father had a tatoo done one week later, and told me he felt nothing at all ^^

So all in all, it really depends on the mind and the person ^^
