Well that statement proves you don't have 'the gift of intelligence'. Dinosaurs, apes, birds ..the list goes on. There are plenty of intelligent animals, not to the extent of humans but still considerably smart. Also you seem to be forgetting - humans = mammals. Mammals = animals.
@Wickedhayo

No. Humans are not simply very clever animals. Our intelligence is quantitatively and qualitatively better than any other animal. We possess the same traits in animals biologically, but do not try and say that we aren't smarter than them. We are.

I wasn't trying to say we are of equal intelligence to that of animal, I apologise if it sounded that way. I was simply stating animals are not stupid. Take the common parrot for example, it has the intelligence of a 3-year old human. That and the fact, in theory, we are technically animals. Although that classification is debetable. Sorry for putting my opinion across awkwardly.
If intelligent humans exist while dinosaurs exist, it would be a considerable advantage for humans.

I didn't mean that animals aren't intelligent but they don't have intelligence compared to us
2010simoDK, the legend is back
Italians do it better
if we werent eaten as tasty treats and assumed we evolved along a similar path
we would be doing this:

instead of

and warfare would have progressed along these lines

we would have bread dinosaurs like horses and dogs, breeding them to be excellent and specialised, ultimately taking better care of our planet because dinosaurs would be so integral to our survival that cities as we know it, would not exist

What BenDover said. We would get adapted to dinosaurs, made them as our pets, eat dinosaurs' meat and ride on them.

But then, I'm more inclined that we would get eaten. Because the people didn't appear intelligent; humanity had a long evolution path. Dinosaurs would simply eat us as stupid monkeys, that would become humans in 7-14 million years after.
And addition to that, dinosaurs were living millions and millions years before first primates appeared. They might adapt too, get some new abilities.
meow
Humanity would have stayed. Although there would be plenty of things that would've never been created, like:

*English

*Transportation

*A way of harnessing Electricity

It all depends on if Humans were to evolve to a more intelligent state before the Dinosaurs wiped us out.

If we are so intelligent, why do we basicly destroy the world around us?
It's called having " disagreements ".

I think that humans would be able to adapt to having dinosaurs around, they would be a threat obviously... But we would most likely be using them for different things like farming, transport etc...

It wouldn't be like "Ye, humans would be extinct cuz dino's ate'em"....

Swetaros: I beg to differ, we ("Cavemen") weren't that stupid... We just had to make due without the technology we have today, and were quite creative actually. As we were able to adapt to such environmental changes over the years and years, and make tools out of... Anything from bones to stones.
