Can I use .svg files for textures?
I'm using adobe illustrator to make some textures and for some reason there is no way for me to save the image as a .png, and .svg is the only way I can save the transparencies in the texture. So is it possible for me to use .svg files?

no, you can save as .png or .tga, click on export as (I think?) instead of save as
does .tga allow transparency tho?

You use .tga files.
Yes, it does allow transparency, I think.

.tga does support transparency but you have to manually save the transparency as an alpha channel.

Right click on the mask that's giving your layer transparency.
Click "Add Mask to Selection".
Click the Select menu, choose "Save Selection...", and save it as a new alpha channel in your image, call it Transparency.
Make sure "Alpha channels" is checked when saving your image.

Why thank you very much
