GUITAR or BASS?

Each has their own qualities and contribution to music...but which has the greatest? Debate here.

well, guitar was always more "recognized", we can say.
But the bass is what it does the rythm to the song.
So both are important in a song.
and also, it depends in the music style you play

Honestly, there is no debate. The guitar is the melodic instrument, the bass is the rhythm. The parts change up, from time to time. Its like singling out a most important peice of a puzzle.

Both are important.
I play Bass and i prefer bass riffs.
But in music,guitar is more important.

well. actually. you can make good music with just drums and bass but not with guitar and drums But they are actually so different instruments you can't compare 'em

I like them both equally and can play both of them. No preference whatsoever, they can both play different parts in music. Strengths and weaknesses? Instruments aren't pokemons.
