I'm assuming that you are going for that weathered, gold statue look for the Buddha . If so, good job.

The shade around the ears, however, are a bit too far off the ears. The color blending is incredibly sloppy (just like most realism peeps ;-;), and you should really work on that.

The lines going around the neck seem like necklaces, if so, make them more recognizable (maybe even some beads).

I don't get the cherry blossom or whatever that plant is. Weird.

hey, i like the idea, smells like a winner to me. I've slightly adjusted the mapping and offered you the colour palette i would use. usually light is present on the side of the nostrils and also light gets caught just above the upper lip, whole way through the mouth. Do what you like with this information and good luck
