Copy and paste a part on gimp
I need help on doing that..

how do you copy a little peice you drew then paste it then flip it..for the eyes
Use the select tool to select what you want to flip, then copy it. Create a new layer BUT DO NOT CANCEL THE SELECTION. Paste the copied thing in the selection. Then deselect everything, go to layer>transform>flip horizontally And merge the layer down.

There you go.

Ok..One thing about that undo batyz..It will take off the copyed selection..

I got my answer...
There's an easier way to do that. You don't have to create a new layer at all.

1. Select region
2. Ctrl-C
3. Ctrl-V
4. Shift F and click on the floating selection
5. M and move it appropriately, then click outside the selection, and it will automatically anchor. It's way faster.

If you want to do this often, put a guide in the very center of the image so that your mirrored image will snap to the center when you move it.
