So i turned my graphics up way too high and the game just closes whenever i try to play it. i don't know if i messed up for good or if it's something i can fix

Go to Users/[your_account_name]/Saved Games/Toribash folder on your PC (should be same for Win 7 and newer, in case you're on mac it's ~Library/Application/Toribash/) and modify the following values in custom.cfg to 0:

shaders "0"
raytracing "0"
effects "0"
