What exercise will help me do a handstand push up?
As the title says, I want to start doing vertical push ups but as I tried them, I realized that the muscle groups aren't similar to the ones you use in regular push ups.

What type of exercise can I do to help me train for vertical push ups?

I would suggest doing, crunches, push ups, pull ups, and benching , because they will probably make your arms, chest, and abs stronger so it will be easier to do your hand stand push ups.

I already do all of those.

Bench press
Deadlift
Push ups
Pull ups
crunches
leg lifts

Probably Dumbbell Shoulder presses and Swimmer presses. Building up them shoulder muscles.

Squats, Straight leg dead lifts and Swings are the way to go.

And I probably dont ahve the upper body strength to do a planche push up, Im strong but not ripped

I just suggest to do 20 push ups before every meal, after a while alot of muscle starts to build up.
Miliatary, incline and bench press.

Also do pull ups and chin ups as they are essentially the same motion at these "handstandthingyfbefdnb" but in reverse.
