Anti-running incentive (ARI)
Hey, everyone!

If you guys are as tired about runners as I am, I've come up with a solution (that is assuming no one has suggested this yet).

=================================================

Although still kind of up in the air, here's my proposal:

The game calculates how far the players are from each other in the latter half of the match. From there, it calculates whether the two are moving towards or away from either each other or the center of the stage, or maybe even both.

If the gap between them (and possibly also the center of stage), is widening at a very quick pace, then that'll be considered running. However, if the gap is shortening, then the players doing their best to close the gap would be rewarded with an ARI bonus, meaning extra TC for not running. Of course, the winner is rewarded with more TC.

If during the latter half the points are both at zero, then nullify calculations, resulting in a fair draw.

=================================================

Now, I'm not quite sure how extensive the programming is, but I would like something like this be implemented into a version in the near future.

So, what do you guys think? Good idea? Bad idea?
Not supported

Reason: I dont think this is so neccesary

You should already know when to stop running or at least stop your running momentum
I'm ready for my daily dose of cringe ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I don't think that you quite understood the purpose Lushmoke, I believe that this idea is intended to try and persuade people who run intentionally to not run. Although I don't think that it would be a successful addition to the Toribash game rules because sometimes, especially in mods with low gravity, you hit or are by the other person and the momentum causes one of you to go flying off. Plus this would lead to tc farming unless was small and then it would not be much of an incentive.

Experience

I support this 100%
He must have really though hard about this and he has worded it greatly. It might be hard to implement, but it would sure be good.
Stick a dojo on the mod, that'll stop them running.

Or you could just get better at chasing them.

<Erf> SkulFuk: gf just made a toilet sniffing joke at me
<Erf> i think
<Erf> i think i hate you

Dont think this is neccesary because like you can make a dojo and if you see the other running away you should be able to at least chase after them or do a comeback...

100% NOT Supported. You have dojo boundaries for that reason. If you consider a dojo in a certain mod to big, then just play smaller ones or modify them.
Risks: Farming, pointless effort, inconsiderate of mods which do require simple running
"Weird T-posed ragdolls tear each other to pieces in moon gravity"... Tonakai
Not supported at all penalising runners, shovelers, leg grabbers or anything else you don't like seems pointless because toribash is a sandbox game which means you should be able to do what you want... I don't agree with "nooby" moves but if you don't like it just don't play with people who do it.
Cheap ass steam games,https://www.g2a.com/r/samuel_night

Tonsy, your wrong about both hands and wrestle thats pro, wrestling is aikido you know, All that turns and then grabbing and stuff is aikido

Leg grabs are noobish but the thing is

My opinon about leg grabs is

If you actually try to get there legs shame on you

If they put there legs by your hands then its kinda there fault

Not supported for one reason. Farming.
Work it out yourself, get more tc the closer you are, farmers working out ways to cheat the system.
