Sometimes its for an extra boost for velocity ( Not that much ), the differnence between a dq and being safe, or just for looks.

It could be used in Toribash videos to make it look like they're 'talking'. It could be used to do a clean headspin in dancing replays, too.

Also, a good one is. In Aikido and other mods with DQ it may prevent yur head getting a DQ.
