I'm trying to play in the beginner's judo servers but whenever I enter them it just says 'Not Connected' in big letters in the middle of the screen. Is this a problem with my internet connection or the servers themselves and how do I fix it?

I imagine the problem is that your belt is now to high for you to enter them. Try join an intermediate server.

well I'm only a yellow belt and it doesn't make me a spectator or anything, it just says NOT CONNECTED in the middle of the screen

Are you sure? And no it won't spec you it will say "Not Connected" I'm pretty sure this is your problem.

I think you're right, I can join the intermediate servers but I'm definitely only a yellow belt, is this right for intermediate?

As Fee said, your belt is too high to enter :P Since you can go into other servers, it's not a problem with your firewall being overly sensitive or anything. And yes, yellow belt is high enough to enter intermediate servers.
