I cant use POVray on mac, well technicly I can but it quits after two seconds the error window says The Application POVray 3.6 unexpectidly quit
Mac OS X and other applications are not affected.

Click Reopen to open the application again. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple.

If it helps i am running it in an intel mac

try compiling it from the source. (I believe thats what Hampa did to get it running).

what's compiling it from the source?

download the source version (not binary, or pre-compiled).

Then you need to extract everything. Open up terminal and go to where you extracted it all (try using cd /home/<username>/Desktop/<folder-name> )

Then, just run the following commands:

./configure
make
make install

I am not a mac user myself, so this could be slightly wrong. I am sure someone will be able to do better instructions than me!
