Legalizing Marijuana
This has probably been discussed countless times, but let's give it one more go.

Should marijuana be legal or illegal?

Tobacco kills, and I don't think I've ever heard of marijuana being a cause of death. Although if abused, marijuana can tear apart families and therefore depression which can lead to suicide (generalizing).
But hey, even if it is addictive, slows down your thinking and is sometimes referred to as a 'gateway' drug, what you do with your own body is your own business.

Bah, I forgot to add how it would affect economy too...

Anyways, discuss.
I think decriminalized is good. I see the news channels claiming that marijuana needs to be regulated because of dangerously high thc levels. They use buzzwords of genetically engineered to make regular weed people buy seem dangerous. In my opinion this is just bullshit they are making up so that they can claim a need to regulate and control the industry in it's entirety.

Marijuana is pretty damn strong these days (but high potency strains are not new), but this is not really a problem. People who actually smoke for medical reasons support this. Legalization will lead to reduced potency, added preservatives and other chemicals, higher prices, more licenses, etc.

IMO I like the way it is now, decriminalization would be great because who wants to get in trouble over some weed, but if you just keep your drug use private like a normal person you shouldn't have any problems enjoying marijuana in privacy, lol.
I also think decriminalized. The substance isn't harmful, is a better alternative to ciggs healthwise, and is safer then alcohol high wise. The only reason they don't want to legalize it is because stupid Republicans don't know how to change.
"I have no fear, for fear is the little death that kills me over and over. Without fear, I die but once."
I actually agree with a lot of conservative politics. If there was a more moderate republican (or conservative for us Canadians) party I think a lot of good could come of it. I hate hippy liberals as much as stubborn old conservatives. We need a middle ground. I like conservative values, but ease up on the gays and marijuana and they would have my vote every time.

Or, for a more moderate liberal party ease up on forcing petty little changes on everything, tone down the socialist welfare nonsense and maybe we can talk also

The main reason why people don't want marijuana legalized is because they think it is addictive(which it is not) and it is a Gateway drug which can lead to abuse of other dangerous substances.
Redundant Moderated Message:
Please provide evidence when you make claims like that.

Also,as seen in Washington state its becoming difficult to tax marijuana and get profit for the government.

Marijuana addiction exists, saying it is not addictive is a lie.
It is true, however, that it is way less addictive than other drugs.

How are you?
In my opinion the less government regulation involved the better the world of marijuana will be. Simple decriminalization is the best outcome for marijuana enjoyers.

You could say the same about anything that is prohibited, including heroine and air to air missiles. ;o
People who enjoy them will obviously benefit from a legalization.

There are obvious disadvantages of legalizing marijuana. Chances are that more people will go out and try it out.
The question is if that is bad or not.

edit: I failed to read your post. Sorry. :P Shouldn't post in discussion when I am tired.

What I'm saying is from legalization we do not benefit. Governments will over tax the shit, put thc limits, add preservatives and other chemicals, drive the price up. All these things are reasons I say legalization is a bad thing for us (the weed lovers).
