I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Nothing will happen. Nothing at all. People are scared of large machines. When they activated just a few days ago, did anything happen? No. When they test it in October, will anything happen? No.
Media hypes up events like this to fuel fear and curiousity. There will be nothing otherwise destructive or world-endangering occuring when the LHC is activated.
IN THE EVENT of a black hole being formed, the mass will be FAR too low to sustain itself, and will ultimately collapse into itself because of the gravitation and overcoming mass of the LHC's working program.
So, yes, a black hole MAY form, but it is impossible for it to sustain itself and destroy the world.
