I just downloaded Toribash 3 and when I don't have it on fullscreen its slow so I put it on full and it plays fine...For a few minutes, then it crashes to the point where I have to shutdown.

Can you please switch to full screen again, and after it crashes, before starting Toribash again, post here the contents of stderr.txt which is in the directory where you installed Toribash to.
