I loaded up Tbash today and now it looks old af, runs at a solid 2 fps and isn't in a language let alone english. My game was fine yesterday so i don't rly know what happened to it since i didn't change anything.
I hadn't downloaded on steam yet either so i figured if i downloaded it on steam i would: A. get the game shortcut on steam B. fix all my problems.

the steam version i downloaded also look old af, running at a solid 3 fps and is actually in english. Idk what to make of this so any help is appreciated.

okay i got you. when you open up toribash, go five down on the menu, and click that. then click the first option. that will open up the options menu. at the very top, there should be some words, and then a text box you can click on to type shit in. click on it, and change your game to english. if it's already in english, change language to any other language, then back to english. that should set you somewhere.

you said your game is running at 2 frames per second? i'd check your ram usage via task manager and see what's using up so much ram. if toribash is the problem, i suggest deleting EVERYTHING in your toribash folder, excluding replays. those you can move out of the game directory and into a different folder. make sure there's nothing suspicious in the folder though.
once you're done removing the replays, uninstall toribash from your computer.( start menu> control panel> programs> uninstall a program> toribash)

then go into your directory where toribash WAS, and delete anything left over. once that's done, head over to here, and download the 5.12 standalone version. you can try the 5.14 version, but that's when this started in the first place, so i'd suggest downgrading for a bit.

get back to me on this

Using the steam version i can use toribash in english, and on the 5.14 update.
The standalone version i had, the one with all the gibberish, was on 4.82 and whenever i typed, all my letters were inputting as the first letter i put in. Ex: typing english would just be "EEEEEEE"
The 4.82 version is so messed up i'm probably just going to end up deleting it as soon as i can get the steam version (5.14) looking good like it used to.

okay. then for the steam version, go to setup>options>advanced> and search for ray tracing. tick that, then press "OK". that should give you your shiny tori
Do you have any programs that are running in the background?
suck my dicknballs

Update your graphics drivers, then max out performance in graphics card settings.
Been the case for Intel Integrated Graphics and AMD cards, should be similar for Nvidia too.
