I appreciated that they took out his ability to speak too much by using the bear to incapacitate him. This made the movie extremely intense, since Leo could only painfully whisper and use hand motions. It also made the movie that much more of a visual experience, with the only dialogue happening between Fitzgerald and Peachfuzz kid for the majority of the movie. Additionally, rendering Leo's character unable to effectively speak took a lot of strain off of him in the way of lines and needing to speak three languages throughout the movie (English, Pawnee and French)

When Glass kicks the shit out of Fitzgerald and instead of killing him himself, he pushes him into the river to be judged by the onlooking Pawnee, there should have been a moment where the daughter of the chief leans over to him and says something to him. The camera would be too far away and we wouldn't know what she said, but it would be implied that it would be something to the effect of "Yo pops, the guy that is winning the fight over there? He's the one who saved my ass from those escargot eating pansies. If he's got a beef with that ginger sumbitch, it's probably a righteous cause." It would make more sense as to why they only kill and scalp Fitzgerald and leave Glass alone.

Really LOVED the intensity of the final fight, and how they re-scalped him and then just walked by leo because it was that Pawnee girl that he saved from the French. Really great way to end it.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I think it was heavily implied that that happened, maybe while the fight was happening and the camera was on them. I feel like it may have looked a bit cheesy if she had leaned over whispered something to him. Kinda cliche.

I was disappointed. Half of the Scenes seemed recycled to me.
Also Han's Death Scene was kinda derp.
And Kylo Ren........if you use a masked villain DONT make him unmask every 5 seconds. And Finn...... gd it. No way a mere man can hold up that Long and well against a trained sith.

That was a design choice. The idea of this movie was to reacquaint everyone with the overall feel of the series. This was accomplished through a similar storyline.


It was alright. As sad as I was about it, I understood why they needed to do it.

Now this is where I'm gonna rag on you for a bit. Turning Kylo Ren from "masked evildoer" to "misguided human" early on was a fantastic decision, for the reason I just stated. It made him human. We don't blindly hate him just because we can't see his face and he has a deep penetrating voice. We can actually look in his eyes and see that he's going through a lot of emotional turmoil throughout the movie. George Lucas is heralded as the master of creating villains. Darth Vader is a bad guy that simply cannot be beat. Kylo Ren is not this sort of villain. He was never supposed to be. He's an angsty young guy with a lot of stuff going on that's tearing him in fifteen different directions. He has tantrums. He's not as reserved as Vader or Palpatine. He hasn't yet learned how to bottle up his frustration and use it in the next battle. Even his lightsaber is as rough and untethered as he is. Plus, we discover that he's not even the real villain. It's Snoke, his "master." The only reason Kylo is having such a hard time with everything is because Snoke is the puppet master, and he has intentionally tangled the strings.
