Oh that...
I can't do much about it... I only got 3 options:
1. make it lighter
2. change the particle a bit, so it won't be so blurry in the middle
3. both

EDIT:
No sorry, I tried it...
Can't do much about it...
It's the flame's fault, not the texture's...
Your flame just emits too many particles and when they overlay you get that darker spot...
Sorry dude... doesn't have much effect
