And as some of you should have noticed: No graphics card yet! Can't get hold of the Nvidia GTX 275 I want. Nobody has any in stock.

Also no idea about the card business. Got a feeling that Nvidia are about to slash prices. ATI's 58xx and 57xx cards are good and cheap and DX11, Nvidia will probably need to cut prices to attract people to their 200 series whilst they work on getting the 300 series out (not even started making the chips yet!). So I've got a feeling it's a combination of things, including a bit of a panic, as seen in articles like this. Nvidia hasn't done as much as they should have done to stop this rumour and there are people who actually still believe it... Which is good for Nvidia, because if they are about to slash prices then suppliers/retailers/etailers will get pissy if they just bought a load of cards at old price, then they hastle Nvidia who are forced to take money off their next order, so Nvidia lose even more. I think that this shortage is brought about by Nvidia holding off shipping the cards untill the stock levels are low enough not to make too much of a dent when people start asking for moeny back on their old stock and using these rumours to their advantage by letting people panic-buy. That's what I'm hoping for anyways. I find it very hard to believe Nvidia have actually dropped out of the high/mid end card market untill the 300 series comes out so I'd rather believe my story. ;)

I'm pretty sure Nvidia is gonna cut prices as soon as the 300's come out. Probably a bit before. Then, unless DirectX 11 is necessary, the 295 gtx should be almost affordable.
