Another legend missing from the list. Ritchie Valens - La Bamba (R.I.P)

On the bad religion I was having trouble finding songs that I wanted so it was more of a band pick.

That's all for now.

I agree with everything Dabandito said except the following.

Into the Black is not Neil Young's best song. I'll instead add After the Gold Rush. Also, Hurt is a great song, so I'll add that too.

EDIT: Changes Made:

After the Gold Rush - Neil Young knocked California Love - 2Pac from the 100 spot.
Hit the Road, Jack - Ray Charles knocked Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden from the 85 spot.
Hurt - Nine Inch Nails knocked Everybody Hurts - R.E.M. from the 73 spot.
Tom Sawyer - Rush knocked Creep - Radiohead from the 50 spot.
I Feel Good - James Brown knocked Talk About the Passion - R.E.M. from the 49 spot.

I have left Toribash, but will drop in occasionally on the forums and IRC. Still in Sigma.

Well add atleast something by Buddy Holly. The Day music died needs some sort of mention in this list.

Actually, the day itself is represented here in the form of the ultimate tribute song (American Pie), but I'll add some Buddy Holly too. What song, I'm not terribly well educated on the subject?

EDIT: Peter Tosh - Stepping Razors would be awezome.

Roseanna - Toto

Hold the Line - Toto

Africa - Toto I find this one more deserving.

While I have a far greater respect for 80's synth pop than I do 80's pop-metal, I must say that there are better examples than Toto. Check out Take On Me - Aha, Let My Love Open the Door - Pete Townshend, Don't Stop Believin' - Journey, or even Mr. Roboto - Styx. Those are just a few examples that, while perhaps not deserving enough, are more deserving than your songs to be on this list.
Take On Me - Aha? No way. Toto was a far more better band, and had much more staying power. Listen to the vocals on Africa! I mean, Take On Me is a good choice, but come on now..come on now..not against Africa..and Hold The Line to add.

It wasn't that song by Aha that got it big, it was the video. Africa was #1 on the Billboard Top 100 Chart, mind you. And with a great band to back it up with staying power, how could it not be added? Take On Me in anyway, is not more deserving. No chance in hell.

I kinda agree with both of you. But Aha is just awesome just like Alphaville's Forever Young. OMD also has some great songs. If this list would be my personal favorites OMD-Enola Gay would be top10.

IMO there are many songs on the list that Africa would beat left handed but that's just my opinion.

EDIT:

26. Stan - Eminem
Hey c'mon this shouldn't be so high. Maybe something around 50 or something but just look at the song behind it.
