I don't think people will be active on the IRC though. Well I also don't know what's wrong with our processes too but I'll look into it.

IRC is the way to keep the members together even when they're not on their pc. You can access irc through mobile phones, so everyone can keep in touch. And almost every clan have their irc channel now.
Also i wasn't saying that your recruitment process was wrong, that was just an example xD
