lols it's a trap. That or fluffy if a girl and prego and so that is why it has bad mouth 'cause it's not happy. ^_^

Also Gryphon looks good. I would say that the light is a nice touch as far as the tex in the displacement and bump add noise..
:P you should use the same material for your fish as you dod for your microbe gryphon

best way is file>append or link> microbe file> materials> the one you used

it's alright, but if you were to have the color channel set to layer, and add a noise texture on top, it would be great. etc. etc.

GREAT JOB
etc.

Sweet model Gryphon!
What kind of techniques do you use? Straight sculpting, or did you box model it, etc?

I like the glowy lure 8D

Uh, 3DSM works a little differently to Blender.

I am not familiar with the 'layer' blend type. Is that like overlay? O_o

Either way, you know when you go to the material settings, then you go over to the texture box on the right, and click to the Map To tab (where you set if its going to be a normal map, colour map, specular, etc etc). There is a drop down box just below (default value is Mix). He is saying to change that to layer (? not sure of blender equivalent? layer isnt standard). AFAIK that is what he is talking about.
