Unfortunately that xbox hack just had to take it too far e_e... but i hope the psn gets back up soon... man i'll have to upgrade and wait for something new to come out for the version so i could turn it into mac again...

The hack sensors detect shit done to the disc drive, which is usually called hot-swapping or flashing. I'm not gonna do any of that, just case mods which are perfectly legal. It just voids your warranty which mine ran out about 2 yrs ago anyway.

nah, if you just un-plug the dvd drive + fans nothing will happen. Say if you flashed it and put a modded disc in, they can tell (sometimes.)

basically, you can do any mod you like unless its a software modification.
