They can have thumbs I guess XD Since dragons are imaginary, you can basically make them look however you want.

Draw him burning down a city

Anyway, you're a great artist gryph, your shading techniques have definitely improved and it shows. Love the watermelon dragon and I like the way he looks all slimey in the first picture. Great picture, great artist, now show us a burning city.
