I think he uses adobe photoshop because I have an old versian of GIMP, and it does not supply any layer effects to make the textures have shadows, or bevels.
JUST LOOK AT HOW GOOD THIS GUY IS! dah BEST TEXTURES HERE!

yup, adobe photoshop elements, and adobe photoshop cs3.

I switch between those two.

But are you going to decide yet?
