zwift when you did your sweep did you feel at risk from a kick?
i mentioned locking down arms in a previous post. in the first replay i make use of dominant grabs to finish a throw. the second replay shows a hand pin. i mostly use hand pins to try and ball up my opponent immobilize a limb for a turn or at the very least disrupt the ghost. once you have secured a hand pin you are one step ahead of the game. you know they either have to let go or leave grab there adding more stress to the body. if its a self grab you know you can ungrab and be safe from a regrab. see 4th replay. also you can pass off grabs to the other hand. see third reaply
does anyone employ the use of grab tricks? if so what ones?
TLDR: grab tricks are fun. learn them early.
Edit: Lets put the bjj study on hold and look at this. Its simple. I want to make replays where you guys use multiple grabs and ungrabs. I think there's a lot of potential in this simple concept. ~ Aquita
