hmm ths is pretty tough.
so if the old man is relative to the young guy then......
wait how did he order seagull if he was blind?
how did he know wat was on the menu?
what did he whisper to the maid.
this is truly a hard riddle i may past xP

WAIT.LOL i know im wrong but
a marina is where seagulls always hang out.
so if the seagull are neaby the marina they can easly get seagull food.
but i guess the young man use to kill seagulls or something LOL.

he killed him for no reason in particular

he shot the man cuz he wanted seagull (the story never said that the watier server seagull but the man said he ordered seagull) and the seagull would come and eat the mans corpse

yes they were father and son no money was not involved france is not relevant yes it really is seagull and no seagull is not some weird ass code. (sorry school has gotten in the way of this because I've been juggling shit)
