Don't forget that worth is different to what you paid.
If you buy 100 games in a $1 pack at christmas, the value may inflate to a few hundred dollars a month later.
Also offline gameplay or when network is patchy doesn't count on steam, and in general the timers are not very accurate.
And I'm pretty sure you could have not bought anything and just played DOTA2 all day if you wanted a better ratio ;)
EDIT: My accounts value has increased by $100 (though I haven't bought anything new)
You could say my ratio is $2.35/hr
