Bryce rolls his eyes at the dramatics. He easily flicks the slash away, and charges forward with his elbow. He butts it into Nic's chest, displacing Nic from his stance and balance. Taking this opportunity, Bryce crouches with a readied left-to-right slash. He releases it and it contacts behind Nic's heel, pulling his leg up and outward, felling him.

Nic surprised by this tries to hurry and get as he assumes an defensive position as he quickly trys to regain balance.

Once his balance was regained he swings again, and again trying to gain aggressive control.

Bryce blocks the swing solidly, slowly walking backwards toward the edge of the yard.

Nic is very fond of this newfound control in the fight and drops with a side kick to bryces right ankle in an attempt to trip him.

Western Plains

Balo stares off into the distance and for a split second loses his childish happy demeanor in favor of a slight unconscious frown followed by a small tear in his left eye.

He regains his normal demeanor almost immediately and wipes his eye.

"Yessir!" Balo says beginning to whistle a happy sounding tune though it has underlying notes of sadness to it.

Bryce jumps backwards, back almost to the fence. He eggs Nic on with a click of his heels.

Nic charges as fast as he can holding his right elbow in the air with the sword facing bryce when instead of trying to hit him with the steel that way he jumps in the air swinging he feet until he's on a direct course for bryce and straightens his right leg bringing his left one towards his body.

Bryce sidesteps the charge and watches as Nic crashes face first into the fence.

"Your foresight is still as bad as ever."

Nic, trying to get off the fence, smirks at bryce motioning for him to attack me this time.

"Maybe brother, maybe."

Nic lets out a chuckle.

Bryce makes one smooth stride towards Nic with his sword hanging from his right hand. When in striking distance, he twists upward with a rising strike bound for Nic's chin.
