Don't forget that "overall ability" may include attributes that are not relevant to your position. What you have to look into is key attributes, and not the overall ability of the player.

It's usually a good indicator, though, specially later on. :>
Update!

October 2009

October 1st
- Rustler misses the rest of the USA U20s World Cup participation through a minor head injury.

October 2nd
- JesseBean earns the man of the match in USA U20s 1-0 victory over Germany U20s in the U20s World Cup. He scored a freekick from the edge of the area.

October 3rd
- Happy birthday, JesseBean! He has now officially signed for Sunderland. He earns £7k a week and has an immediate transfer value set to £3M. He is labeled a squad rotation player and has declared himself ambitious in regards to his future.

October 4th
- Gomesdead earns the man of the match for Zaragoza U19s as he scores a hat-trick to ensure they dominate the match against CF Gava.
- fat0ninja puts in a man of the match performance for Australia U20s in the U20s World Cup. He kept a clean sheet and ensured that Australia could win 1-0 over Costa Rica.

October 6th
- tacoBELL has picked up two yellow cards in two matches for the national team and will find himself suspended from their next fixture.
- Tapion has hit out at the media for doubting Norway's abilities against South Africa. He firmly believes that the nation has what it takes to win the game.

October 10th
- Gomesdead walks off with the match ball after scoring two goals for Zaragoza U19s against Gimastic U19s. He now stands with 10 goals in 9 matches, and is the current top-scorer of Spanish U19s Group 6.
- Destiny is declared man of the match after scoring a goal and causing ripples in the opposing defense in Sevilla U19s 3-0 victory over Racing Portuense U19s. He now stands with 10 goals in 9 matches, and is the current top-scorer of Spanish U19s Group 7.
- AlexOwnz has been brought in to the USA first team squad in order to replaced DaMarcus Beasly (injury).

October 11th
- CMon has hit out aggressively in the media by declaring that the right back position on the national team is "his for the near foreseeable future", and that "nobody will push him out of it". These comments came following his national debut.
- Tart has thanked his national manager for having faith in him following his first national cap, and hopes he will become a regular for Portugal.

October 18th
- Following AlexOwnz' first national cap, he dodged many of the questions from the media and stated that he would only be interested in improving himself, so that manager Bob Bradley would select him in the future.

October 19th
- fat0ninja broke his arm in a match against Pergocrema, and Arezzo manager Leonardo Semplici is in dismay over loosing him for 3 to 4 weeks. He has told the media that he's an irreplacible part of the team, and that he's worried when entering the next few fixtures without him.

October 20th
- AS Nancy Lorraine finally realize they are being colossal morons, and have offered Kyat a proper contract. He is now being paid £7k a week.

October 21st
- Loachflava earns the man of the match for Deportivo after a 1-1 draw against Real Zaragoza. He is said to be the very factor that kept the opponent at bay and allowed Deportivo to come out of it with a point.

October 24th
- Gomesdead and destiny both earn man of the match awards for their respective U19 teams, although destiny scores two goals and Gomesdead scores one, meaning that destiny currently stands with more goals in Group 6, than Gomesdead does in Group 7. Interesting.

October 25th
- fireless earns a man of the match award by scoring a goal in Rimini's 2-2 draw with Portosummaga. His manager praised his performance after the match.

As a sidenote: Not a lot of players seem to have developed much of a personality yet, although Tapion is so far the most outspoken. He looks like a bit of a troublemaker aswell.

Otherwise, Gomesdead and destiny are plowing through their respective U19 Groups and it'll be interesting to see which one of them stands with the most goals in the end.
