Banned for no reason, help lol
Don’t know where to post this, since they deleted the discussion board after last time. Guess it’s going to be here! I think it'd be nice if this thread could be like it was on the discussion board(rip). Share opinions if interested.

So, hello, I'm Diamond, I've been banned for the last 3 days.

Why, you ask? Apparently, because I transferred TC to my friends, but I’m not sure, because staff members won’t tell me that.

I just discovered that I was banned one day and had to go to ban appeals, here’s our exchange so far:

Nothing new to me – meaningless messages, repeating the same things in slightly different wordings, ignoring every argument and question, and still somehow taking forever to respond! That’s my usual experience with staff, so I’m not going to complain too much.

But why am I banned? I have not broken any rules, and they haven’t bothered to even try to provide any proof of me breaking a rule. Yet I’m still banned and forced to talk to them just so I can have my ban lifted?

What’s your opinion on this?

Do you think this is how staff members should act?
Do you think there should be any repercussions for staff abusing power?
Do you think banning people for sending TC is a good or a bad idea?
Do you think staff members should be allowed to enact punishment (such as banning people) without providing proof of a user breaking rules?
Do you think that people should be deemed guilty until they prove their innocence?

Dear staff,

Dont ban people and then try to find a reason to justify your actions. Find proof that the user broke the rules, then go ahead and ban them. This is how it usually works and not the other way around.
#InnocentUntillProvenGuilty

If I was able to have one wish, it would be to live closer to my one true love Fred, his beard tastes so nice.
He is also a far superior tk player.

i think it was precaution.
wouldn't want someone to be selling tc without a tc selling thread and without proof that you sold or didnt sell the tc.
ms wouldn't know so to stop you from "selling" more they ban you and investigate
So you think we should ban all people that transfer TC as a precaution?

And you think that the accuser(staff in this case) shouldn't first prove their accusations, but instead the accused should be punished and then try to prove their innocence to not get punished more?
I also have been recently banned by Icky for a fairly innocuous TC transaction. I simply purchased TC to give to another user, which earned me an Under Investigation ban for a couple days. It is pretty ridiculous that these bans are given out in the first place, let alone before any sort of questioning is done. I guess shoot first ask questions later is the new MO for Market Squad.

I would also like to note that it is very likely Market Squad was tipped off by someone who probably doesn't like either of us.

Rules are the problem, because they mean that staff have to ban everybody who transfers TC ''as a precaution'' now, since they banned me or Shmevin. Or just pick random people? Whatever you choose, that's absurd.

And don't you see the issue with banning somebody before they're proven guilty?

And no, I don't have a history of selling TC illegaly. You can read my staff complaint thread to get a better idea of what happened.

Hi, you were banned as a precaution. Please take all ban talk to ban appeals.

As for your "rules suck" point. What would you like to see different?

So you think we should ban all people that transfer TC as a precaution?

what a reach lol
i think whenever you transfer over 500k tc without having a post buying or otherwise, it should be investigated

And you think that the accuser(staff in this case) shouldn't first prove their accusations, but instead the accused should be punished and then try to prove their innocence to not get punished more?

i dont think there was an accusation, just a suspicion that you may be selling tc without a thread so they ban you to prevent more tc being "sold"
you're probably being asked to show proof that you didn't sell the tc (like paypal transfer history)

You’ve literally sent tc to multiple people who have a history of buying tc recently, you haven’t proved any innocence to your ban nor if you were actually sending tc to your “friends” they’re just banning you as a precaution measure and it’s not gonna affect your account or anything... they just are questioning you for these actions, felnin has said the same thing too that he sent tc to his friends but that is another suspicion
What’s your opinion on this?

Do you think this is how staff members should act? some what
Do you think there should be any repercussions for staff abusing power? Yes that’s why the higher ups talk to them about their unjust actions.
Do you think banning people for sending TC is a good or a bad idea? good idea especially with high amounts of tc involved
Do you think staff members should be allowed to enact punishment (such as banning people) without providing proof of a user breaking rules? That is why they question you first for certain actions and you have to provide proof
Do you think that people should be deemed guilty until they prove their innocence? you are thinking this is a court system or something
