is it against the rules to change your toribash's color and texture in your toribash/"yourname" folder?

I know that only the people that have the files can see the color, because they have to be set to "read-only" status, otherwise tori will overwrite them.

Neither states anything about modding your own visuals or client. Therefore I would assume that it is not against the rules.

No it's not,Texture Artists use their custom folders(and create other folders) to test new textures etc. all the time.Also If you want to be the only one seeing you'r textures then it is up to you,it's not affecting anyone else.
