I get that the website has been running slow, but disabling all searches is ridiculous. I have an auction out there and i can't find it.

This is NOT the place to put a certain issue in. You'll just have to wait for the search function is back, manually find your thread or create a new thread of the auction.

EDIT: You can also use Google.com to make a specific search. Thanks FNugget
