Reinstalling the game will not fix the issue as you'll get exact same Torishop script in there. Changing mod won't help in any way either.
Standalone version's Torishop most probably fails to open after unsuccessful check for player's TC / qi. This is caused by incorrect privilege settings set on your custom folder, which can be solved by running game as admatin or fixing access permissions.
