My freind got steam recently, and he has Gmod, Tf2 and Css.
He doesnt want Half Life 2, or DOD:S. or any of the non source games
For his birthday he says he wants a steam game.
I dunno what to get

One time, the Orange Box had a special for Portal, HL2, and TF2 together for 20$, I was mad >:O I didn't have the money at the time.

I would recommend the Orange Box. I don't play HL2 but I want TF2 and Portal back to much.

the main part of the orange box is hl2, and he already played portal and he has tf2

so pretty much not the orange box

halo 1 is fun. thats usually 20 bucks.

Battlefield 2 is amazing. you don't need a beefy rig either. not even a good one.

Crysis is a completely shit game, I wholeheartedly don't recommend it.

I DO recommend you get him Company of Heroes. Only costs 23 AUD, and it offers fantastic single and multiplayer gameplay. :D

I can so, completely full-heartedly confirm that. The multiplayer is just epic, and seriously epic at that.

Bioshock should be under 30 bucks by now. Great game by any standard.

They just added Red Faction 1 and 2 on Steam to. 4,99 each. Or 50 bucks if you pre-order with Red Faction Guerilla.

Penumbra trilogy. Definitely. Really cheap too.
