Toribash World Championship 2020


Hi and welcome to Toribash World Championship 2020!
The grand battle for the title of Toribash World Champion begins!



Toribash World Championship 2020 is a single elimination tournament

In the first round, participating players will face each other in best-of-5 duels
Rounds 2 and 3 will be best-of-7 duels
Quaterfinals and semifinals will be best-of-9 duels
Finals will be a best-of-11 duel





All World Championship duels are to have the following structure:
First game is always played in judof_dojo.tbm
Every next game's mod is selected by the losing side
A player can't choose the same mod more than two times

If a player pings or disconnects during the duel after first turn, that is considered a point loss
Exceptions to this rule are only possible if both players agree to replay the fight

aikidobigdojo.tbm
lenshu3ng.tbm
boxshu_mushu_v5.tbm
erthtkv2.tbm
judof_dojo.tbm


After completing the duel, one of the sides has to post the log with results and mod info for each match
If possible, also include the replays - keep autosave enabled in order not to miss them


If your opponent is evading the duel or fails to show up at agreed time, make sure you report it either in this thread or contact me (sir#3030) on discord

If a pair is unable to finish their duel within given time, both players will be disqualified

World Championship starts after sign-ups are over, deadline for that is December 7th.
We're still making some final decisions on mystery mod, I want to include a version of mma/wrestling that'd be suitable for a competitive event to keep mod list varied.

Fallback mod would be judofrac as all other mods that are used for competitive play are too close to other mods that are already in the list which would give some players an advantage.

Time to announce the mystery mod: judof_dojo.tbm!

judof_dojo's main features and differences compared to judofrac:

  • Round dojo (size 700) with 15 frame dq timeout inside the dojo and instant dq outside
  • Increased gravity from -9.82 to -15
  • 75 point score threshold (hits lighter than that won't deal any damage at all)
  • Fracture threshold reduced to 75 to compensate for score threshold
  • Self damage is enabled
  • Instant win upon reaching 100,000 points
  • Increased points on fracturing the opponent:
    • Neck fracture - 35,000 pts
    • Torso joints fractures - 15,000 pts
    • Pecs fractures - 7,500 pts
    • Shoulders and hips fractures - 5,000 pts
    • Elbows, knees and ankles fractures - 3,500 pts
    • Wrists fractures - 2,000 pts

judof_dojo.tbm is now available on our server and you can try it out before your first duels.
