A lot of you seem to heavily misconstrue or selectively misinterpret the Toribash Global Rules and Terms of Service. Though our primary moderation focus is typically on Toribash public spaces — this particular case is
directly tied to in-game activity. Yonker targeted Skizz immediately after being banned from an in-game server, and proceeded to harass them in Discord messages, using a racial slur. The connection to Toribash activity is clear, direct, and undeniable. This is not a random private dispute; it stems squarely from in-game conflict.
Several of you have quoted the Toribash Terms of Service and Global Rules, allow me to assist you with a full reading

In other words, the moderation team have the administrative authority to take action wherever misconduct harms the community, regardless of whether it occurs specifically inside an official Toribash space, so long as it's with the best interest of the community in mind. Just because something is not explicitly listed does not mean it is permitted or immune from moderation. Furthermore, the section you cut off (presumably to help your argument), explicitly states even password-protected rooms and private clan boards are not fully exempt from moderation when it comes to severe misconduct. Hate speech remains hate speech, regardless of where it occurs.
The repeated claim that "a grown man shouldn’t report private insults" is laughable. Reporting harassment — especially racial slurs — is not childish, it is the correct course of action in any mature community. If you genuinely believe that staying silent in the face of harassment is some kind of virtue, you should seriously reevaluate your understanding of what it means to be a decent human being.
This isn't the first time Yonker has conveniently "remembered" old screenshots or past incidents only when it directly benefits him or when he's facing consequences. Likewise, several of you now rush to bring up historical examples and supposed past misconduct. If these situations were genuinely so concerning, the time to report them was when they happened — not months or years later when it suits a particular narrative. For clarity: we do not entertain reports for incidents older than 30 days, barring extraordinary circumstances. This policy exists for a reason — and trying to weaponise history at your convenience only weakens your credibility.
As for the claims that this is somehow "targeted" towards Yonker: If any of you are subjected to a similar situation by a Toribash user — it would be reviewed with the same seriousness. There is no favouritism here,
especially not with skizz.
As for Yonker's ZT status: ZT users are not added lightly. Only after extensive internal discussions, review of evidence, and a long-standing pattern of misconduct, do users attain the status of "
any offence = permaban". It reflects a user's fundamentally poor conduct proven over years, not a temporary bad day. And considering their actions from the past 48 hours—harassing another user with racial slurs and refusing to comply with basic ban appeal protocol (and the barrage of utter bullshit that's risen from it)— confirm beyond any doubt that he has not changed.
Yonker, you've been told repeatedly to use the correct channel (ban appeals) to discuss your case. Spamming moderators with entitled demands, finding explanations "absurd" and publicly melting down on every available channel when you didn't get the instant gratification you wanted —
changes nothing. Your sudden "acceptance" of the original one month ban only conveniently appeared
after your ban was extended to permanent, when you realised your attempts to strong-arm and intimidate the administration were futile. You keep repeating that you "accepted" the one-month ban — yet if that were true, you would not have filed an appeal in the first place.
This isn't a novel case, with an open invitation for everyone to weigh in why they think racial slurs are acceptable (privately or publicly). You deliberately harassed another player with racial slurs — twice — directly because of an in-game dispute. You were caught, you admitted it, and you attempted to defend in publicly. And in doing so, you highlighted exactly how terrible your offence was. You are not the victim here, you are the reason this situation exists.
Your case is still being reviewed, and actions taken against your account(s) are subject to potential change. This time, try going for more than 5 minutes without constantly refreshing your ban appeals thread.
Finally, for those repeatedly throwing out vague accusations of past "staff misconduct": If there is genuine dissatisfaction (reading this thread, I can tell there is) with how a case was handled—post a staff complaint, citing specific incident(s) with evidence. I promise that, given time, any formal complaint will be reasonably argued or explained in full, with proper diligence. Throwing random allegations into a public thread without structure is just lazy and unproductive. It doesn't show you care, it just means you can use words. Meaningful explanation and change requires substance, not volume.
That said, this thread has allowed everyone to express their opinions. We've reached a stage where it's a pissing contest (yet again), with personal insults being thrown around, and the arguments have developed to being circular in nature. I'm going to close this now.
